It is so fun and magical to create these sodas- making the festivity of enjoying it all the more special and celebratory. With a little patience, your dream carbonated libation awaits.
“Homeward” aims to highlight some folks on here who I am continually inspired by, through a q+a and glimpse into the life of…in “AWD-vessel-form”.
Most pieces heading out the door these days have a percentage of recycled clay in them. Here is my process for reclaiming clay scraps back into its lovely, moist, workable self!
The other day, I was hungrily searching for something to eat for a post-lunch-pre-dinner snack and the perfect summertime sandwich was born! Leftover grilled vegetables from the previous nights supper, thinly sliced soft cheese, gremolata, and some homemade sourdough. Now it is all I want to eat…ENJOY!
A long list of some anti-racism resources for my fellow white and non-Black people out there. Please take a look and choose a few to dig into. Make time for anti-racism work. It is an everyday practice. Not just reading an article, or going to one protest, or posting one thing, or having one conversation…
Part of my #aMomentOfSensoryCleansingForYourFeedAndLife series on Instagram that I thought I would bring to the website in times of ultimate nervous system healing and calming.
A longtime go-to of mine that is SUPER versatile and delicious. Enjoy!
Especially in times like the present, there is something said for the healing and symbolism of making concoctions that takes a few weeks to brew and become themself. The care-taking/tending-to aspect of Fire Cider is something that is healing itself. And I think we could all use something right now that gets up excited for the future-even if that is just a few weeks.
Some of my favorite things to, places to eat, etc. in Tacoma out and about.
A great simple back pocket soup recipe goes a longgg ways- whether on nights you have no idea what to make and can forage in the fridge to throw one together, or as a crowd pleasing side on a warm night. I’ll often make them and put them in a tumbler or mug to sip on alongside my supper or throughout the next day/s. Can be served with a slab of toast and butter or sweet potato fries or lasagna or whatever you’re having for supper! Same with the smoothies. They make a great snack or meal side.
I remember my mom used to make this simple/intuitive supper often when I was young. It is warming, filling, and can be as packed with vegetables as you want it to be! Now we make it relatively often, especially in the winter months.
As business owners and makers vowing to be a part of the sustainability movement, we must be aware of the ways we are or are not contributing to greenwashing. Far too often, as a consumer, I see just words.
Summer has hit the ground and this is a perfect way to celebrate the juicy plums that are heavy on their branches right now!
The indents have a story of their own. The indents in my pieces represent an active relationship between the consumer and consumed. The essence of being “closer” to that which we are putting in our bodies and voting with our dollar to buy.
This anti-inflammatory, heartwarming, circulation boosting, immunity kicking, bear hug of nourishment tonic is my go-to.
